Ryanair announces new routes for the Liverpool Winter schedule 2017
In response to increased demand for flights to more winter destinations, one of the UK’s favourite budget air carriers, Ryanair, has announced its new Winter 2017/18 schedule from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, including new routes to Milan, Copenhagen, and Prague.
The new routes mean that over 90 flights will leave the airport every single week as the popular airline grows its Liverpool traffic by 11%.
Taking passengers to a number of the Europe’s major cities, it is expected that approximately two million customers will fly with the low fare airline over the Winter months.
And it’s not just colder destinations that the airline will be flying to. There are also a number of winter sun routes too, giving leisure and business customers more choice than ever before.
Ryanair is also celebrating a great start to their summer schedule, which will start at the beginning of March. Already attracting record bookings, the airline has revealed that they have made a number of improvements that will offer an even better standard of customer service, on every one of their flights.
The airline recently launched new routes to Bari, Girona and Prague, which they believe has played a significant role in their success and growth.
Paul Winfield, LJLA's Director of Air Service Development has been quoted stating: “Today’s news means that since September last year, Ryanair have now announced seven new destinations from Liverpool including three capital cities. Further growth next Winter and the current success of their forthcoming Summer programme, should make 2017 one of Ryanair’s busiest from Liverpool in recent years.”
Robin Kiely, Head of Communications at Ryanair, responded: “We are pleased to launch our Liverpool Winter 2017 schedule, which includes 2 brand new routes to Copenhagen and Milan, the continuation of our new Prague route into Winter, and 24 routes in total, which will deliver 2m annual customers at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. These new routes will go on sale on the Ryanair.com website later this week as we continue to grow our Liverpool traffic, tourism and jobs, underlining our commitment to LJLA and the Liverpool region.”
“We are also pleased to report record bookings on our Liverpool Summer 2017 schedule and customers can look forward to even lower fares so there’s never been a better time to book a low fare flight on Ryanair. We urge all customers who wish to book their holidays to do so now on the Ryanair.com website or mobile app, where they can avail of the lowest fare air travel to and from Liverpool”.
